Nerd TV

You should check out Nerd TV a new Internet-only TV show by Robert X Cringely. He describes the show as Charlie Rose for geeks, but if you're not from the US that's not much use, so let's say it's more like Robin Day for Geeks. No, that's not right, maybe more like Paula Yates for Geeks.

Mr X Cringely is in no-way related to Black revolutionary leader Malcolm X, but he is a rather good commentator on the tech industry and was responsible for the excellent PBS documentary, The Triumph of the Nerds, the story of the PC industry, which isn't anywhere near as boring as it sounds.

Currently occupied by:

a) Jealousy at Jason's new life in Costa Rica, Enjoying, no doubt, the beautiful latinas, the food and the beautiful latinas.
b) Panic, that a domain I once owned, bignightin.com from a previous (failed) business venture, is now owned and seemingly used by massive food producer Del Monte. To you, secretly, I'll admit to forgetting to renew it, but if anyone else asks I sold it to them for ONE MILLION POUNDS.

The only thing making me feel better about this situation is what a load of absolute bollocks is on the site:

* That picture with the dog. That's just sick that is and the guy with the red jumper looks like he's unnaturally close to his pet.
* Apparantly 'Big Night In is getting great reviews because, when it comes to good times and real value, Del Monte Foods wrote the book!' - I beg to differ. And exactly where are those 'great reviews' anyway?
* They have a product called Pup-Peroni. It's like Pepperoni, but for Pups.
* Seemingly Pup-Peroni is a great product because it says so on the website:
A very satisfied Pup-Peroni consumer had this to say: "The dogs are beating a path to my door to get their Pup-Peroni treats!"

And it's got Science and stuff behind it:
Your pooch lookin' a little lonely? Give him a treat when you walk in the door. Treats have been known to erase your recent absence from a dog's mind!
I would have thought a good shit would erase one's absence from most dogs' minds, but there you go.

Ok, bitter and petty rant over with.
